At Shakti Botanicals, we are dedicated to providing high quality, sustainably formulated tallow-based products that enhance your natural state of being. Our mission is to empower individuals to feel confident and beautiful in their own skin.
Our products are gently scented with locally grown New Hampshire herbs and therapeutic grade essential oils. We use NO synthetic or fragrance oils. Fragrance oils lack therapeutic benefit and are typically filled with unknown ingredients that can cause irritation to our skin, and disruption to our hormonal systems. All of our products are small batch hand crafted in Henniker, New Hampshire.
Benefits of Tallow
The synergy of plant oils with traditional tallow creates a balanced formula — both rich and healing, yet absorbable and gentle, making it suitable for most skin types, especially dry, sensitive, or mature skin.
Tallow is naturally rich in skin loving fatty acids, which closely resemble the lipids found in our own skin. This makes tallow incredibly compatible with our skin’s biology, helping restore moisture, strengthen the skin barrier, and support the natural repair process.
When used in soapmaking, tallow produces a hard, long-lasting bar with a rich, creamy lather that feels indulgent on the skin. It cleanses without stripping away natural oils, leaving skin soft, smooth, and nourished.
Tallow is an upcycled ingredient, traditionally considered a by-product of the food industry. By using tallow, we help reduce waste and support a more sustainable, regenerative approach to skincare. All of our tallow products are curated using a triple water render technique, creating a scent free base product with essentially no animal fat scent.
